New design coming soon!

Back again

After quite some time where this website lay dormant, it’s time to be back again! In the last two years I learned a lot of stuff, and following the motto “Publish what you learn” I want to share this knowledge. At least, I want to try. Here are some of the topics you can expect talks about:

Development Stuff

This was obvious, I guess. Mainly focussing on WordPress and OXID eShop, I want to talk about technical SEO and frontend performance techniques I stumbled over the last two years. I will talk about techniques like SASS, Grunt and Javascript in general. Mobile First Strategies and CSS architectures will be another interesting block to talk about.

My disability and other malarkey

As my condition somehow worsened over the time, I also want to talk more about my disability. Some problems I encountered and the solutions I found for some of them, and which challenges I may tackle in the near future. I will also try to get some recent results in the CMD (Congenital Muscular Dystrophy) research and which aids are actually helpful and which are not.

You can also expect loose talks about my hobbies new and old, namely photography, scale modelling and martial arts. And from time to time I will add some private stuff I am interested in or what other malarkey will be on my mind in the future!

Some of these topics will be spread over a small network of websites under the domain “labsch.net”. I was thinking about using this website as the main entry point and present some of the contents of the topic subdomains here. Thus, I hope I will be able to implement some clean information structures and won’t clutter just one blog with everything that jumps into my mind.

So I hope you will stay tuned and will revisit this website in the near future!

Best regards, Matt

N.B. This website was currently reopened. The theme is temporary, and will be changed to some self-written theme in the near future. So please bear with me if I will write something about frontend and my website will look like … well, something still under construction.
